An open letter to the U.S. Congress

Air Force None: Ethics Has Left the Tarmac

15 so far! Help us get to 25 signers!

Of all the crazy, illegal acts you’ve let Donald Trump get away with, this is the worst. You let him threaten judges and suspend habeas corpus. You let him install sycophants in positions of power so they could destroy every department of government and make America look like fools. You looked away when he sold green cards for $5 million, accepted white immigrants while arresting brown ones, and spent millions to rename the Gulf and play golf. But now? He’s accepted a $400 million bribe—I mean, private jet—from Qatar: a regime that funds Hamas, harbors its leaders, and denounces Israel at every turn. And he did it just months after signing an executive order to “fight antisemitism” by threatening to deport students for protesting Israeli policy. And you’re still silent? How exactly do you square that? How do you shout “America First” while letting the president collect luxury gifts from a foreign government that bankrolls the very people he claims to oppose? You can’t. You don’t. You just hope we’re too exhausted and distracted to notice. Well, we noticed. This is the final nail in the coffin of the Republican Party and MAGA. This isn’t a scandal you can bury under culture war headlines. You can’t hide a Boeing 747. This plane must be your line in the sand. Because if accepting a multi-million-dollar gift from a pro-Hamas regime while posturing as a pro-Israel hardliner doesn’t trigger ethics charges, impeachment inquiries, or at the very least a fitness-for-duty check, then just admit it: There are no rules anymore. Only bribes. And shiny objects. You’ve let him turn the presidency into a personal business. Now he’s outsourcing U.S. loyalty to the highest bidder. Investigate the Qatar plane. Enforce the Constitution. Or be remembered as the Congress that stood by while America’s foreign policy was auctioned off by a man who thinks he invented the word “equalizing.” (Hint: It’s been around since 1599.) How embarrassing!
