Support Marriage Equality in Pennsylvania

HB 1800 modernizes Pennsylvania law by replacing the outdated definition of marriage as a union between a man and a woman with language recognizing marriage as a contract between two consenting adults, and by removing the provision that would void same-sex marriages legally performed in other states. Passing this bill will: - Ensure equal treatment under state law for all loving, committed couples. - Eliminate legal uncertainty and administrative burdens for families already legally married elsewhere. - Keep government neutral on who may marry, consistent with the principle of individual freedom. This is a straightforward civil-rights and good-governance measure that respects privacy and family stability.
