Israeli Leaders are Telling You: The Two-State Solution is a Fairy Tale

Israel’s mask has officially been fully removed. Former Israeli defense minister Benny Gantz — no moderate, no reformer, just another architect of war crimes — recently wrote in the New York Times that opposition to Palestinian statehood is not Netanyahu’s policy alone, but Israel’s bipartisan consensus. In his own words, rejection of a Palestinian state stands “at the heart” of Israel’s national consensus. This is the reality Palestinians have always known, and it is one U.S. leaders must finally face: Israel, across its mainstream political spectrum, is united in denying Palestinians freedom, sovereignty, and human rights. Netanyahu openly declared, “There will be no Palestinian state to the west of the Jordan River.” His ministers have repeated “there will never be a Palestinian state.” Now Gantz — supposedly Netanyahu’s critic — confirms the exact same thing. The problem is not Netanyahu. The problem is Israel itself. A state built on ethnic supremacy and dispossession cannot be “fixed” with new elections or endless U.S. military aid. It exists as an apartheid system by design, and Gantz’s admission makes clear that Israel intends to maintain that system permanently. Your responsibility is not to bankroll genocide and apartheid but to stop it. That means: 1. Ending all military aid to Israel immediately. 2. Imposing sanctions on Israeli officials responsible for war crimes. 3. Supporting accountability through the ICC and ICJ rather than shielding Israel. 4. Recognizing Palestinian rights and statehood without demanding Israeli approval. Every dollar and every weapon the U.S. sends to Israel entrenches the very consensus Gantz laid bare: permanent denial of Palestinian freedom. If you continue to arm Israel, you are declaring that you also oppose Palestinian freedom. There is no more room for illusions. Israel’s leaders have said it plainly: there will never be a Palestinian state under Zionism. The mask is off. It’s time to choose whether you stand with justice — or with apartheid.
