The humanitarian crisis in Gaza has reached catastrophic levels. According to the World Food Program, one-third of the population is now going days without food. The number of children dying from malnutrition is rising rapidly. Many are starving.
More than 1,000 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli forces since May—most while seeking food near aid distribution points, including sites operated by an American contractor.
This is not just a tragedy; it’s a preventable one.
The United States plays a direct role in this crisis through its continued military support of the Israeli government. Unless immediate humanitarian access is granted and protected, that support must end.
We cannot be complicit in the deliberate denial of food to civilians. U.S. aid must reflect our values—and right now, that means using our leverage to save lives.
