Help The New River Valley

Like many members of my community I am decistated by the recent flooding along the New River. There is an excellent chance that my home and those of my neighbors are just.... gone. Now begins the long process of cleaning up and rebuilding and we are all counting on the federal flood insurance program to make that possible. Your office has an important part to play in all of this. We are going to need support and political pressure to ensure that our community is made whole. We also need answers. For Virginians on upstream of the Claytor Lake Dam, AEPs decision to lower the lake 3 feet rather than a more prudent 5, 8, or even 10 feet may have cost them their homes. It's going to be a long way back to the thriving community we had before the storm. We'll need all the help we can get.
