An open letter to the U.S. Congress

Prevent Gun Violence

3 so far! Help us get to 5 signers!

I’m begging you. Events like Uvalde bring needed attention to the cascading trauma of gun violence, but with or without mass killings the trauma is there, growing every day with each individual incident. “Well regulated” means we can do so much more without amending any existing Constitutional amendments. Please, top priority: 1. Ban military-style assault weapons. 2. Require universal background checks and waiting periods for all gun sales. 3. Ban bump stocks and limit the size of ammunition clips. 4. Enable relatives and law enforcement to temporarily remove firearms from an individual in crisis Thank you for reading. Please act.
