I'll make this simple: spending $400,000,000 of our money on Trump's gaudy Mar-a-Lago-on-the-Potomac ballroom is a ridiculous waste of money. And if you think that what happened Saturday night is a valid justification to spend this money, keep in mind that the ballroom at the Washington Hilton is MUCH larger than Trump's boondoggle, so the White House Correspondents would still hold the event at the Hilton. Do NOT let this appropriation get slipped into any spending bill. Trump said he would pay for this ballroom with private donations, so let him fund it himself.
