Do NOT Attend the State of the Union Lie-Fest

I urge you to join your colleagues in boycotting the upcoming State of the Union address. President Trump demonstrates with every speech that he is intent on telling tyrannical lies aimed at hurting ordinary people and damaging our democracy. The State of the Union address will be no different. Attending the State of the Union would give legitimacy to a president who has shown nothing but contempt for facts, dignity, and democratic values. I urge you to take a stand by refusing to attend this address. Your absence would send a powerful message to your constituents and to the nation that you will not normalize or validate an agenda built on misinformation and division. Now is the time for our elected officials to demonstrate unified opposition to this administration’s tyrannical lies. Please join your colleagues in boycotting the State of the Union address.
