An open letter to the U.S. Congress

Defend Medicaid Funding

11 so far! Help us get to 25 signers!

I'm alarmed by the House Republicans' budget proposals, which add $110 billion for deportation and give us a trillion-dollar defense budget while proposing $880 billion in cuts over the next decade—primarily targeting Medicaid—and $230 billion from food stamps. These draconian cuts will fund massive tax breaks for billionaires and big corporations. With over 1 in 3 Americans relying on Medicaid, including seniors, people with disabilities, and nearly half of all children, these cuts would devastate millions of vulnerable citizens. I urge you to vehemently oppose any measures that jeopardize essential services like Medicaid and food stamps to benefit the wealthy elite. Please stand strong against these inequitable and harmful proposals.
