An open letter to the U.S. Congress

Honor the treaties to Native Americans

2 so far! Help us get to 5 signers!

The United States has failed to uphold it's treaty obligations to the native people of this land. We are still failing to uphold our obligations. This needs to be changed. I am asking you to uphold the deals the government made. That your predecessors were negligent is no reason for you to be. We have stolen a great deal from the people whose land we now live on. It is the absolute minimum to uphold what little obligations we took on in exchange. In addition we need to expand and accelerate the returning of land. The federal government needs to formally recognize the many tribes that remain. We must combat white supremacy in all of its forms and that meant we must acknowledge and attempt to rectify the settler colonialism the United States is built on.
