ICE can’t do ICE’s job, but now they’re going to do TSA’s job, too?

Air travel has been scary lately. Long lines, overwhelmed staff, understaffed security. Trump’s solution to deploy ICE agents to act as TSA agents is disastrous, and it hasn’t even begun yet. They don’t know what to look for. They don’t know how to operate the X-ray machines. They have zero bedside manner. They make decisions based on skin colors, accents, and language spoken. We are talking about airports here- travel hubs for the globe. Every nationality. Every color. Every accent. Every language. All being monitored by people who are most famous for cruelty, racial profiling, and using lethal action against civilians. ICE isn’t trained to ICE’s job. They certainly won’t be trained to do TSA’s. I’d honestly prefer to see airports close than allow undereducated xenophobic racists in charge of the security. This is not the solution. Do something! Now!
