Serious Breach of Security Protocols

I am writing to express deep concern and condemnation regarding the recent revelations about national security officials using the unsecure Signal app to discuss sensitive military operations. The fact that these officials shared what is widely agreed to be classified information on this unsecure platform is alarming. Furthermore, their use of Signal appears to circumvent record-keeping laws, such as the Presidential Records Act and the Federal Records Act.   Included in the Signal chat were Vice President J.D. Vance, Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth, Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard, CIA Director John Ratcliffe, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, White House Chief of Staff Suzy Wiles, White House Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller, Brian McCormack from the National Security Council, Trump’s Middle East and Ukraine negotiator Steve Witkoff, and Trump’s nominee for head of the National Counterterrorism Center, Joe Kent. Their use of Signal for official business indicates lack of care for U.S. security and a very low level of professionalism, and an active effort to circumvent records laws.   I ask you to demand the immediate resignation of those involved and urge that any laws broken related to security breaches and record-keeping be thoroughly investigated and prosecuted. The use of Signal for such sensitive discussions poses significant risks to national security and undermines the trust in our government’s ability to handle classified information securely.
