California needs to replace NIOSH functions

I'm writing to you today about NIOSH and the extremely important National Personal Protective Technology Laboratory. Along with so many other essential functions at NIH, you have probably heard this lab is basically gone. Can California please step into this vacancy? I'm not a specialist in this area but I do know we in California haveed the way in so many fields. Can we replace this crucial national service so that workers can be safer and high risk people like me can have reliable masks? Thank you for all you are doing in these perilous times.
