Today I take pen in hand to write and urge you to vote NO on any legislation that attempts to add more money to the DHS war on the civilian population here at home.
Not one penny more.
DHS has already received a monstrous $190 billion in taxpayer money, which they’re using to weaponize our military against us and just as bad, buy and develop surveillance tools to monitor us.
These robust systems clearly violate our civil rights. They:
Supercharge racial profiling to tracking, monitoring, and surveilling us in our homes, businesses, schools, and places of worship… all without meaningful oversight or ability to prosecute offenses.
Unmarked, masked agents — operating without accountability — are not making our communities safer or protecting us. Instead, they continue to kill, harass us, and strip us of our constitutional rights, all the while sowing fear.
I’m asking you to do three important things today:
1. Stop the flow of taxpayer money to DHS operations that turn the military and federal agents against our own people.
2. Demand an independent investigation into the conduct of ICE and Border Patrol agents involved in the killings of Renée Nicole Good and Alex Pretti.
3. And protect our privacy by opposing federal pressure to share surveillance and personal data.
We are not willing to live in a police state.
