I just found out that Senator Hawley wants the FDA to restrict Mifepristone, one of the two medications used for medical abortion, He is shopping around a false policy document from Ethics and Public Policy Center, a Project 2025 shop. The document falsely inflates the side effect level of the medication from 0,5% to 11%. No peer review, no publication in a medical journal, just lies.
Mifepristone is safe and effective and has been so for more than 20 years. If this is restricted you also put women who miscarry in danger of having sepsis and organ failure as well. I want you to stand up and push back on these fake reports and lies and pass the Women’s Health Protection Act to legalize abortion nationwide. Then if we need it I want you to pass legislation enshrining the current FDA recommendations for Mifepristone into law. NONE OF US WANT TO LIVE IN THE HANDMAID’S TALE. Thank you.
