The Senator's Responsibilities for the Kennedy Center

President John F. Kennedy was murdered in the state you represent, which gives you a special responsibility to protect the country's living memorial to him at the Kennedy Center. You should never have been silent about the disgraceful attempt to add his name to it. Should NEVER have sent me a form letter passing the buck to the board of the Kennedy Center - when Trump actually fired the board of the KC and replaced all of them with loyalists - (and what kind of person would not REFUSE a renaming even a board proposed it?) - and now you completely abdicate your Senatorial power as he proposes CLOSING the Kennedy Center for reasons that have not been assessed by professionals. He is unable to cope with all of the cancellations created by his hubris, and is going to 'renovate' - which we all knows means he will tear it down. Why on earth are you allowing this? The KC is a beloved place in the American history, a moving memorial to a beloved President - and you carry extra responsibility because his murder happened HERE. Stand up and do the right thing there, Senator. Many of us are looking at your silence about it and are absolutely baffled - where are your morals?
