Reject cruel immigration enforcement, protect healthcare for vulnerable Americans

The Administration's obsession with harsh immigration enforcement measures is deeply misguided and harmful to vulnerable Americans. Tripling funding for ICE raids, detention camps like "Alligator Alcatraz," and mass deportations while gutting crucial health programs like Medicaid is an unconscionable approach that prioritizes cruelty over compassion. Millions of seniors, children, and people with disabilities rely on Medicaid for essential healthcare and long-term support services. Stripping away these vital services to finance an immigration police state will needlessly inflict tremendous suffering on our most vulnerable citizens. This draconian legislation fails to uphold American values of human dignity and equal justice under the law. Securing our borders through reasonable measures is one thing, but doing so at the expense of the basic wellbeing of our own people, especially society's most susceptible members, is cruel and indefensible. This regressive bill's misplaced priorities betray a profound moral failing on the part of its architects. Rather than target hard-working immigrant families, our nation's resources would be better directed at strengthening the social safety net and expanding access to affordable healthcare for all Americans.
