Forced birth is an interesting niche political concern. It took decades after Roe v Wade for extremist Christian sects to adopt it as an identity.
The popular talking point is these groups are "speaking for the voiceless." It's an interesting group to defend--the voiceless cannot disagree with the narrative projected on them, as battered women or the impoverished might. They also have no needs that require on-going effort to meet, as actual children do.
It's almost as if those who advocate for forced birth are simply looking for a convenient, low effort cause while the world literally burns. For this, and many other reasons, I am writing a letter a day until we end forced birth by writing reproductive freedom into law.
