I urge you to swiftly end the devastating Title X gag rule enacted by the Trump administration.
I know you know the Trump administration finalized this harmful rule to prohibit Title X providers from referring patients for abortion. In practice, the gag rule forced community health care providers like Planned Parenthood health centers out of Title X, and took away the access to affordable reproductive health care, like birth control and life-saving cancer screenings, that these providers had been offering through the program.
The gag rule most harms those who have always faced systemic barriers to health care, including people in rural areas, and Black, Latino, and Indigenous communities — that must end now.
We need to repeal the gag rule in order to help ensure EVERYONE has access to the sexual and reproductive health care they need. Repealing the gag rule can’t wait.
