An open letter to the U.S. Congress

Defend Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Programs from Executive Overreach

4 so far! Help us get to 5 signers!

The administration's recent executive orders attacking diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives are deeply troubling. DEI programs are vital for increasing access and opportunity for underrepresented groups in education and the workforce. The disruption caused by dismantling these programs is already harming essential government services and research efforts across agencies like the NSF. This not only impacts employees but millions of Americans who benefit from these programs. I urge you to forcefully condemn these anti-DEI executive orders and support any legal challenges to protect DEI initiatives. Halting crucial work until these orders are rolled back should also be considered to send a strong message against this unacceptable attack on civil rights. DEI programs uplift our society - we cannot allow them to be delegitimized and dismantled.
