Stop Trump’s chaos and lack of expertise in government from tanking the economy!

The chaos surrounding the Trump administration's trade policies is wreaking havoc on businesses and the economy. Companies rely on predictability to plan investments, hiring, and pricing strategies, but the constant shifts in tariff policies and justifications make it nearly impossible to operate effectively. Small businesses are particularly vulnerable, lacking the resources to navigate the ever-changing landscape or secure exemptions. Labor markets are also stagnating as employers and employees grow risk-averse amidst the uncertainty. Critically, the administration has failed to articulate a coherent rationale for these policies, pivoting between contradictory goals like reshoring manufacturing, balancing trade, national security, and lowering consumer costs. Without clear reasoning, the tariffs undermine democratic accountability and the rule of law. Consumers will ultimately bear the costs through higher prices, despite Republicans' assurances. History shows Americans prioritize affordability over other considerations when faced with more expensive domestic goods. Ignoring this reality jeopardizes the broader economy and public trust. The self-inflicted chaos and lack of strategy are crippling American businesses and workers. We urge a course correction toward transparent, well-reasoned policies that provide a stable environment for economic growth and opportunity. The current upheaval is unsustainable and unacceptable.
