Vote against cuts to Medicaid, SNAP, and CHIPS

Why are you trying to cut medicaid when your president insists he's not going to do that? Why are you cutting medicaid when our state is so heavily dependent on it (because so many companies don't provide retirement and so many elderly don't have money for nursing care)? Why are you cutting medicaid when 57% of SD's $1.5 billion in medicaid expenditures comes from the federal government FMAP program? How do you expect to cover the loss? Are you going to raise my property tax yet again? Raise sales tax? Tax our income? Tax the wealthy? Or are you going to kick senior citizens out of nursing homes? Never mind that this is political suicide - it's just wrong. Medical care is a human right. You will literally kill people. Do the right thing. Do the Jesus thing. Protect and heal the sick - Support medicaid and Medicare. Feed the hungry. Protect children - Support SNAP and CHIPS.
