Drop the Charges Against Minnesota Activists

27 so far! Help us get to 50 signers!

Drop the charges against the 15 Minnesotans arrested for opposing ICE operations in the Twin Cities. Warning neighbors about the presence of law enforcement, organizing community responses, and even blocking access to federal buildings are forms of political expression and assembly protected by the First Amendment. Prosecuting people for blowing whistles and honking car horns is not law enforcement — it is retaliation against dissent. Operation Metro Surge sent thousands of agents into Minnesota communities in unmarked SUVs, banging down doors and demanding residents prove their citizenship outside schools. People had every reason to be alarmed and to organize. The government's response has been to label community organizers as domestic terrorists and charge them under conspiracy statutes that were never meant to criminalize protest. Tom Homan's public warning that "justice is coming" for activists makes clear this prosecution is politically motivated. Stand against this abuse of federal power. Demand the Justice Department drop these charges and launch an oversight review of how conspiracy and stalking statutes are being weaponized to suppress constitutionally protected organizing. If this prosecution succeeds, any community that dares to monitor or resist aggressive federal action becomes a target.
