Do you know what it’s called when someone takes your money and then refuses to give you what you paid for?
It’s called stealing.
And we cannot let corrupt Trump and his Republican supporters in Congress get away with dressing up theft as “budget cuts,” “reform,” or “fiscal responsibility.”
Social Security and Medicare are earned benefits. They are not handouts. Workers pay for them through every paycheck, year after year, with the promise that these benefits will be there when they retire, need medical care, become disabled, or lose a loved one. Medicaid is a lifesaving public commitment funded by our tax dollars so people can get health care when they need it most.
These programs exist because working people contribute, families sacrifice, and communities deserve care — not cruelty. While families across the country struggle with rising costs, approving $1.5 trillion in taxpayer dollars for the Pentagon is unjustifiable. I urge you to cosponsor and pass the Slash the Pentagon Act and cut Trump’s proposed Pentagon budget topline in half.
