Prioritize AI Investment in America, not Abu Dhabi Abroad

The United States government should prioritize investing in advanced technologies like artificial intelligence and data centers within our own borders instead of subsidizing foreign development projects. While international cooperation is valuable, we must first ensure robust domestic capabilities that drive economic growth and maintain American leadership in strategic fields. The $14.5 billion intended for an AI data center spanning over 10 square miles in Abu Dhabi could be better utilized by funding AI research, infrastructure, and workforce development programs right here at home. Investing these substantial resources into bolstering America's AI ecosystem would safeguard our national interests, promote technological self-sufficiency, and generate quality jobs for our citizens. At a time when global competition over AI supremacy is intensifying, we cannot afford to outsource core AI assets to other nations. I urge you to reconsider allocating funds abroad for this Abu Dhabi project and instead dedicate them to strengthening America's AI capabilities domestically. Our economic future depends on retaining homegrown expertise in fields like artificial intelligence.
