An open letter to the President & U.S. Congress

Stop cuts to Medicare and Medicaid that pay for tax breaks for billionaires

2 so far! Help us get to 5 signers!

This proposed budget resolution would severely undermine vital programs that support our most vulnerable populations, including veterans, children, and seniors. Cutting funding for Medicare, Medicaid, and other social services is an inhumane approach that will adversely impact millions of Americans who rely on these lifelines. Rather than prioritizing tax breaks for the wealthy few, we must uphold our commitment to fostering a society that cares for all its citizens. I urge you to reject any measures that compromise access to healthcare, nutrition assistance, and other essential services critical to human dignity and well-being. A budget should reflect our shared values of compassion and collective responsibility, not further enrich the affluent at the expense of those in need. I implore you to reconsider this misguided path and instead champion policies that invest in the welfare of all Americans, particularly the most vulnerable among us.
