Resist authoritarian erosion of rule of law and democracy

The authoritarian impulses of the Trump administration show no signs of abating as they shamelessly expand legally dubious pardons for January 6th insurrectionists to cover separate gun and drug felonies. This corrupt regime refuses to respect the boundaries of established precedent and constitutional norms, willfully crossing every line in a mad pursuit of unchecked power. They are systematically dismantling faith in democratic institutions and subverting the rule of law to consolidate influence for their own gain. This malignant degradation of justice into a partisan weapon is an existential threat to the Republic. Every elected official has a solemn duty to emphatically resist these lawless acts before it is too late to preserve the nation from utter ruination by aspiring autocrats hellbent on destroying American democracy from within.
