Stop the destruction of the White House - we don't need a ballroom

Why is no one doing anything about Trump's destruction of the century-old East Wing? He needed COB, CPC & Congressional approval to make changes to the PEOPLE'S HOUSE and to spend funds. Now, he's funding this garish and unneeded ballroom, this monument to his own ego and authoritarian nature, with PRIVATE DONORS. Who will own this building? Something tells me that the donors will. Do we have recourse? Is this monstrosity proceeding unchecked? How is this corruption legal? Please get an enforceable cease-and-desist order! I don't know the legal mechanism, but surely there is one. And codify this so that it can't happen again. Once the Republicans deign to do their jobs, of course.
