I am writing to demand—unequivocally—that Congress and the President insist every federal agency, including the CDC, adhere to one non-negotiable standard: publish factual, verifiable, transparent data. Nothing less is acceptable in a functioning democracy.
The American people rely on government agencies for information that affects our health, safety, economy, and daily decisions. When any federal department releases unclear, incomplete, or misleading data, public trust erodes. Confusion spreads. Bad actors exploit the information vacuum. And the credibility of the United States government itself takes the hit.
Congress has both the authority and the responsibility to ensure that taxpayer-funded agencies operate with scientific rigor, accuracy, and accountability. Data must be evidence-based—not politically shaped, not selectively edited, not spun for appearances. The truth is not optional, and it is certainly not something to be “managed.”
I am demanding that Congress establish and enforce strict oversight mechanisms to guarantee:
• Full transparency in methodology, data sources, and limitations.
• Immediate correction of any errors or misleading statements.
• Protection of scientific integrity from political influence at every stage.
• Clear public communication that prioritizes accuracy over messaging convenience.
The American public deserves a government that tells the truth—plainly, consistently, and without manipulation. Congress must act now to ensure that every federal agency meets this basic standard.
Do your job. Demand factual data. Demand transparency. Demand accountability.
