Oppose US stance enabling Russia's invasion of Ukraine

I did not vote for Republicans to represent me this way and watch as they undermine the United States' longstanding commitment to upholding international law and standing in solidarity with our allies against acts of aggression. Their unilateral move to oppose a UN resolution condemning Russia's illegal invasion of Ukraine and demanding withdrawal of Russian forces is a stark departure from American values. By siding with an autocratic aggressor, the U.S. is enabling the continuation of an unjustified war that has caused immense suffering. This betrayal of a democratic partner like Ukraine and dismissal of its sovereignty sets a dangerous precedent that threatens to erode the rules-based international order that has maintained peace and stability. A misguided resolution calling for peace without accountability only emboldens further transgressions. I expect my leaders to uphold democratic principles, deliver justice for victims of this unprovoked attack, and realign with our allies in defending Ukraine's territorial integrity and right to self-defense against Russian aggression.
