Homeowner's insurance increases are dramatically outpacing home values, property taxes, and other expenses in Texas. While the state government has been focused on a solution to property tax increases, we need a solution to limit how much insurance premiums can increase. This has been a widespread problem, but my insurance tripled from 2023-2024 to 2024-2025, and it is now higher than my property taxes. I've never made a claim and do not live in a high flood risk area. My home value rose about 20% in the same time. The same is happening all over Texas. Texans need relief from out-of-control policy increases!
