Urge accountability for Russia's illegal invasion of Ukraine

It is deeply concerning to hear of the potential abandonment of efforts to hold Russia accountable for its illegal invasion of Ukraine. Dismissing Russia's blatant aggression and war crimes would be a grave injustice to the Ukrainian people who have suffered immensely. Russia's actions clearly constitute the crime of aggression under international law, and allowing Putin to evade prosecution would set a dangerous precedent of impunity for wars of aggression. We must remain steadfast in our commitment to upholding the rules-based international order and pursuing justice and accountability. I urge you to maintain support for the Special Tribunal on the Crime of Aggression against Ukraine and to condemn any attempts to rewrite the facts or whitewash Russia's role as the aggressor state that launched an unprovoked war. Failing to hold Putin accountable would undermine global security and the very foundations of the international legal order. Justice and territorial integrity must prevail over appeasement of authoritarianism and warmongering.
