Don’t let Trump gut medical research funding.

I am anxious for a day to go by without seeing another headline, exposing an idiotic or illegal action or a combination there of taken by the Trump administration. The most recent insanity is cutting funding for the diabetes prevention program funded by NIH and administered by Columbia. Diabetes is a devastating disease with horrific downstream consequences including kidney failure, blindness, dementia and limb loss to name few. To shut down a 30 year long study trying to help understand such a plague on our citizens is criminal. We need to have all the resources possible to try to prevent the very expensive consequences of this disease and wholesale cuts to research funding are the wrong answer. Please your power of the purse to insure vital research is well funded for the good of us all.
