DACA Recipients must be allowed to stay!

I am writing to make sure you do all in your power to defend the rights and legal protections of DACA recipients. DHS has recently claimed that DACA recipients have no legal protections and has encouraged them to leave the country voluntarily. Already, there have been several cases of DACA recipients who have been detained or placed in deportation proceedings. This is unacceptable. DACA recipients are here legally and are our neighbors, friends, and coworkers, and they deserve stability and safety in the only home they know. Please ensure. that DACA recipients have legal protections from deportation, demand that DHS stop undermining DACA by pushing self-deportation or denying recipients’ legal status, and support a permanent pathway to citizenship such as the Dream and Promise Act. In this moment of heightened attacks and threats against our immigrant neighbors, I urge you to take bold action to protect DACA recipients and ensure their future in this country.
