Investigate Musk's restricted OPM data access, protect civil servants

I understand the outrage over reports that Elon Musk's team has locked federal employees out of key computer systems containing sensitive personal data at the Office of Personnel Management (OPM). This is extremely concerning from a cybersecurity standpoint and raises questions about proper oversight. Musk was appointed by the administration to oversee efforts to downsize the federal workforce, but his team's actions appear to overstep appropriate boundaries. Restricting career civil servants' access to vital systems that manage payroll, personnel records, and other critical employee data is unacceptable. This not only jeopardizes data security but disrupts essential government operations. We need assurances that there are safeguards in place to protect the privacy and personal information of millions of federal workers. Hiring private contractors to perform inherently governmental functions with little transparency is highly problematic. I urge you to investigate these disturbing developments at OPM and take immediate steps to restore access and oversight to protect our civil service system's integrity. The public deserves accountability over how their tax dollars are managed.
