Prepare now to counteract voting interference.

State & local officials should be preparing now to counteract probable Federal (i.e. Trump) interference with the 2026 midterm elections. A not all inclusive list would be things like enacting laws prohibiting turning over voter rolls to the Federal government, laws against the presence of ICE or demonstrations within 100 yards of polling places, limits on the number of “observers “, strengthening current laws to protect mail in voting or against more difficult id requirements, allowing folding chairs for disabled or older voters waiting in line. As I said, those are not all the preparations, they may vary by state. We must protect the ability of people to vote!
