Redirect Taxpayer Funds from AACs to Medically Accurate Reproductive Care

There is an urgent need to redirect the $20 million of taxpayer dollars currently allocated to unlicensed Anti-Abortion Centers (AACs) in North Carolina. These centers, often located in low-income communities and near legitimate abortion clinics, mislead patients with medically inaccurate information and manipulate their medical choices. Instead, these funds should be invested in organizations that provide low-cost, medically accurate reproductive health care, including prenatal care and maternal medicine. This would ensure that individuals, particularly those in vulnerable situations, have access to reliable and comprehensive health services. The state must prioritize the health and autonomy of its residents over deceptive practices.
