In that context, a pardon would not merely be an act of clemency — it would be a profound conflict of interest, and the American public would be right to view it as such. It would represent the final, definitive collapse of confidence in the federal judiciary’s ability to deliver equal justice regardless of wealth, power, or political connection. I urge you to use every legislative and public avenue available to oppose any effort to reduce, commute, or pardon Ghislaine Maxwell’s sentence. This is not a partisan issue.
