An open letter to the U.S. Senate

Reject Patel’s nomination to lead the FBI

1 so far! Help us get to 5 signers!

Kash Patel's nomination to lead the FBI is deeply concerning, and I’m asking you as a constituent to oppose it. As a partisan operative with no relevant law enforcement experience, Patel is unqualified to lead the nation's premier law enforcement agency. His threatening rhetoric about prosecuting prosecutors and journalists is an alarming indicator that he would undermine the FBl's independence and misuse its powers for political vendettas. Moreover, his involvement in efforts to overturn the 2020 election raises serious doubts about his commitment to upholding democratic principles and the rule of law. Confirming such an unfit individual would erode public trust in the FBl's integrity and impartiality. I urge you to reject this reckless nomination and insist on a director with the necessary credentials, experience, and demonstrated fidelity to the Constitution and democratic norms. Failing to do so would compromise the foundations of justice and accountability that are vital to the health of our republic.
