When there are no consequences, it's the same as condoning the behavior. It says that this is ok, "perfectly acceptable". Is that the message we want our future Presidents and other leaders thinking? That they can do whatever they want, to whomever they want?
I'm not ok with that. I hope you aren't ok with this either. Hold them all accountable now! Whatever party they are in. This crime is treason and inciting a riot to take over Congress and steal the election by stopping the counting of duly elected electoral college votes from appropriate electors.
Trump should never get to represent our country or the GOP again, surely you can make that happen? After everything he did, surely you believe he needs to be held accountable? He almost got VP Pence killed by his crazy mob of followers he sent to the Capitol. That could have been any of you in the Senate.
Think to the future when your grandchildren and great grandchildren are reading about this President, do you want them to be proud of you for holding the President accountable or see that you just let him get away with this too?
