Congress Must Insist on Checks and Balances

President Trump is taking unprecedented steps by freezing approved aid and spending, silencing executive departments, and firing inspectors general. These steps put American soft power in danger, threaten important scientific research, endanger Americans who rely on agency information, and endanger internal government protections. President Trump's agenda should be carried out legally and within the checks and balances that we have in place. Congress has a responsibility to insist on that. Please do not allow President Trump to overstep the powers of his office.
