An open letter to the U.S. Senate

Reject OMB nominee Vought, defend Congress's spending authority

1 so far! Help us get to 5 signers!

Vought, the architect of Project 2025 which aims to consolidate all government spending power in the presidency, poses a direct threat to Congress's constitutional authority over federal spending. Confirming someone so openly hostile to the separation of powers would undermine the legislative branch and erode vital checks and balances. I urge you to reject this nomination and defend Congress's power of the purse enshrined in the Constitution. Vought's extreme views make him unqualified to lead the agency tasked with implementing the federal budget responsibly and impartially.
