Do you actually under some delusion that you can remain completely silent about this ludicrously extravagant ballroom that is reshaping the White House, and that there will be no consequences to your silence, or to your appeasement? There is no imperative for this luxurious building, which is twice the size of the mansion itself, and which has not gone through the proper channels of approval, including your own body, the Senate. You will respond that it is being built with private funds - if so, then he can put it on his private property, can't he? HOW CAN YOU BE SILENT ABOUT THIS, SENATOR? Where is your integrity?
