As an American citizen dedicated to secure, just elections, I am writing to you as my U.S. Senators to urge immediate progress on the House-passed SAVE America Act (H.R. 7296), which passed the House on February 11, 2026. This bill simply requires documentary proof of U.S. citizenship to register for federal elections and adds reliable photo-ID protections at the polls. Countries as diverse as Mexico and the UK demand the exact same requirements. Polls consistently show that 80-90% of Americans across parties and ethnicities want these same commonsense protections. Despite overwhelming support from Americans, SAVE is being choked by procedural delays in the Senate Rules Committee and has not received a floor vote. I respectfully urge you both, as my Senators, to use your voices, leadership and leverage to free the SAVE Act and demand a Senate vote so we can secure our elections for 2026 and beyond.
