I am writing with urgency, anger, and absolute clarity: the war in Ukraine is the direct result of Russia’s unprovoked aggression—full stop. Russia invaded a sovereign nation without justification, violated international law, and continues to commit documented and well-substantiated atrocities against civilians, including indiscriminate attacks, forced deportations, and deliberate strikes on civilian infrastructure. The world has seen the evidence. There is no ambiguity here. Russia is responsible. Russia is guilty.
Ukraine is not just “some country far away.” Ukraine is a U.S. partner, a democracy fighting for survival, and a frontline defender of the very principles we claim to uphold—freedom, sovereignty, and the rule of law. Abandoning them now would not only be immoral, it would be strategically disastrous for the United States and the entire democratic world.
Yet from Washington, we see delays, excuses, mixed messages, and political gamesmanship while people are dying. History will not judge this kindly. The American people deserve leadership that stands firmly against authoritarian aggression—not leadership that hesitates or sends conflicting signals while an allied nation fights for its life.
So let me be blunt:
Do your job. Act. Provide the support Ukraine needs to win—not someday, not “when politically convenient,” but now.
Do not embolden Russia. Do not reward war crimes. Do not undermine a democratic ally fighting for its future. America’s credibility, global stability, and countless human lives depend on what you choose to do in this moment.
I urge you—all of you—to stop stalling and start leading.
Support Ukraine. Hold Russia accountable. Defend democracy.
Do something. Now.
