An open letter to the U.S. Congress

WE THE PEOPLE ARE NOT BUYING THE GILDED LIES. RELEASE THE EPSTEIN FILES

2 so far! Help us get to 5 signers!

Before we get back to America’s current main course meal of Trump/Epstein, this constituent has a question about my money supporting the lives of the rich and famous. The NYT has reported that the price tag for renovating the “free” Boeing 747-8 President Trump accepted from Qatar appears to be close to a billion dollars of taxpayer money. The reporting explored a “mysterious, $934 million transfer of funds” from a program to modernize the country’s ground-based nuclear missiles to an unnamed classified project. Air Force officials said privately that the transfer is for upgrading the plane for use as Air Force One. Is he using our money to buy himself a gift? A billion dollar gift? It’s bad enough we have to pay millions every time the president wants to go golfing at one of his Trump-owned courses. Reminder: This is the sort of gilded lifestyle paid for on the backs of citizens that leads to political revolution. Now. Back to the dogbone du jour. Ever-evolving multiple reasons offered by the president as to why he and Epstein parted ways. They tussled over a real estate deal. Epstein behaved improperly to a daughter of a member at Mar-a-Lago. And the latest, Epstein was hiring staff away from Mar-a-Lago. Virginia Guiffre was hired away from there in mid-2000 by Ghislaine Maxwell. We know what ultimately happened to her. Is she the staff Trump is referring to? GOP Congress members are doing him no service either. Senator Mullin (R-OK) appearing on CNN repeatedly insisted that it was the Obama administration in 2009 that allowed Epstein to avoid serious federal charges by agreeing to a “sweetheart plea deal.” But it wasn’t. As he was reminded, the agreement was drafted in 2007 and signed in 2008, under President GW Bush. But the senator, unswayed by the truth, continued to push his preferred revised history that Dems were to blame. He was also reminded that Trump made Alex Acosta, the US attorney who backed the ‘sweetheart deal’ for Epstein, his secretary of labor during his first term. While in Scotland, Trump told a reporter that he hasn’t “been overly interested” in the case…it's a hoax that's been built up way beyond proportion. I can say this, those files were run by the worst scum on Earth. They were run by Comey, they were run by Garland. They were run by Biden, and all of the people that actually ran the government, including the autopen. Those files were run for four years by those people.” Then he suggested that Democrats have doctored the Epstein files with fake information to smear him. So while Trump is trying to escape Epstein to the peace and quiet of his Scottish golf course, and being lauded for his sublime golfing skills as his caddy drops him an easy shot, the world is literally watching and questioning. His words do him no favors. His actions even less.
