The problem is not complicated to diagnose. Developers build luxury units because policy lets them. Local zoning laws strangle supply while demand explodes. Federal housing vouchers cover a fraction of those who need them. You have the power to change all three of those realities through funding, reform, and pressure on local governments tied to federal dollars. Wealthy donors and corporate landlords have had your ear long enough. The 99% of Americans who rent, struggle to buy, or live one missed paycheck from eviction deserve a representative who fights for them with the same intensity.
