Resume U.S. Support for Ukraine Against Russian Aggression

I am writing to express deep concern over recent shifts in U.S. policy toward Ukraine under President Trump’s administration. The pause in military aid and intelligence sharing, along with statements suggesting Russia is “easier” to deal with and that Putin “wants to end the war,” weakens Ukraine and emboldens Russian aggression. These actions threaten European stability and U.S. credibility.
I urge you to take action to reinforce our commitment to Ukraine. Specifically, I request that you advocate for the following:
1. Resume Military Aid: Ensure Ukraine receives necessary assistance, including long-range weapons and air defense systems.
2. Reinstate Intelligence Sharing: Restore intelligence-sharing protocols with Ukraine and NATO allies to strengthen defense capabilities.
3. Ensure Bipartisan Support: Work across party lines to uphold U.S. support for Ukraine, prioritizing security over politics.
4. Secure a Lasting and Defensible Peace: Support diplomacy that guarantees Ukraine’s sovereignty, provides long-term security, and deters Russian reinvasion. A weak settlement would only invite future conflict.
The U.S. has long stood as a defender of democracy and against authoritarian aggression. Supporting Ukraine means protecting freedom, sovereignty, and international law. I urge you to act so the U.S. remains a strong ally to Ukraine and a leader in defending democracy.
