An open letter to the U.S. Congress

Trust in Government Requires Accountability to the People.

It is extremely important that the current administration is thoroughly investigated and held accountable for any discovered wrongdoings. We cannot afford a lack of accountability in the highest offices of the United States. Nobody will have faith in a system that let's our leaders get away with whatever they want. It will encourage people who want to abuse the system to try and take office. The next set who try it might actually be charismatic and competent. These investigations need to be transparent without concern for national security or presidential privilege. National security does us no good without even the semblance of integrity. So much of our politics involve an extreme distrust of the government and allowing blatant corruption and abuse of office can only make that work. If you fear the appearance of partisanship bring in the UN. That is exactly what they are for and it may help recover some of our position on the international stage. The United States cannot afford to hide it's dirty laundry. It must be aired out and condemned so that it can be fixed and we can put a little faith in our sorely tried institutions.
