An open letter to State Governors & Legislatures (Colo. only)

Stop the creation of 6 proposed detention centers in Colorado.

5 so far! Help us get to 10 signers!

If you allow the proposed “detention” centers to move forward in Colorado Springs, Walsenburg, La Junta, and Hudson you are going to go down in history as allowing this generations internment/concentration camps. Colorado’s history is already sordid with the previous camps, used primarily for Japanese citizens, in these same areas. Do you really believe this will be viewed as any better than those? Do you really believe the people who are sent there will be treated better? Do you really believe that everyone ICE sends there will be deserving of the horrid conditions we already seen in other existing places? Do not allow this fascist agenda to take over Colorado. Stand up against this tyranny. Be known in the history books as the ones that said, “No. We will not allow these racist targeted attacks to happen in our state!” Protect your constituents. Protect our citizens. Protect your own humanity. Do not allow the atrocities of history to be repeated. We can and should do better.
